Friday April 23rd, Eunice, LA – The NJCAA #1 ranked LSU Eunice Bengals baseball team (40-6) defeated the NJCAA #9 ranked Lurleen B. Wallace Community College Saints from Andalusia, AL by a score of 3-1 tonigth at Bengal Stadium. 
Dane Amedee of East Ascension received a no decision as he pitched 4 2/3 innings, allowed three hits and one run with five walks and six strikeouts. Joe Fabre (5-0); Nicholls signee, came on in relief of Amedee to pick up the win. Fabre pitched 1 2/3 innings while allowing one hit and no runs with a walk and two strikeouts. Tony Dischler; ULL signee, pitched a scoreless ninth inning in picking up his first save of the season. 
Offensively, the Bengals were led by Jordan Bourque who went 3-for-4 with two runs scored. Gabriel Thibodeaux added two hits and two RBI’s. 
The Bengals and the Saints resume their three-game weekend series tomorrow at 6:00 pm at Bengal Stadium. Saturday nights game will be Veterans night where all Veterans in attendance will be honored prior to the game.
